Emma Stewart PT, DPT, OCS

“Empowering others to take control of their health and wellbeing is what inspires me every day.”

Emma Stewart graduated from James Madison University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and from Emory University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Emma brings a wide range of clinical experiences to the One on One team including orthopedics, sports medicine, post-operative rehabilitation, injury prevention, functional strengthening, pediatrics, vestibular, and concussion therapy.

She has completed a residency in Orthopaedics and is Board Certified. She has extensive training in Dry Needling and Manual Therapy, as well as a certification in Blood Flow Restriction Training.

Being a youth athlete herself, she found herself enduring multiple injuries, many of which required attending physical therapy to recover. While at her physical therapy appointments, she saw the impact that PT had on not only her own injuries but on patients’ lives. Combining her love for sports medicine and helping/serving others, she chose to become a physical therapist herself.

Outside of physical therapy, Emma is a passionate CrossFitter, and spends much of her free time training and competing in local competitions. She also enjoys baking, DIY projects, watching sports, and spending time with her friends and her two rescue dogs, Huxley and Xena.
