Francesca Mokry is a Certified Pilates instructor. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The University of Georgia in 2017. During her time at UGA, Francesca explored aerial arts and contemporary dance as a four-year member of CORE Concert and Aerial Dance Company. Specializing in silks, slings, duo lyra, harness and combining aerial art and contemporary dance, she had the opportunity to perform throughout the East Coast including New York City.
After graduating from UGA, Francesca danced professionally in Atlanta. She was a company member of Zoetic Dance Ensemble and Atlanta Dance Collective. Both of these contemporary dance companies are huge contributors to the Atlanta arts community and produce work throughout the city.
Francesca found Pilates through dance as a complimentary training method. After eight years of teaching dance, Francesca wanted to expand her instructional movement skills to Pilates. She completed her full comprehensive Pilates teacher training with Polestar Pilates in 2019. She is skilled with the Pilates Mat, Reformer, Trapeze Table, Tower, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Magic Circle.
Currently, Francesca is completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Georgia State University. She will graduate with the class of 2022. She is also a graduate research assistant at GSU working on how estrogen levels effect muscle post-activation potentiation in women. Francesca continues to further her specialization in orthopedics by completing her Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) certification in 2020 and is working on her Redcord certification in 2021.
Francesca is grateful to be an instructor at One on One during her DPT education. She loves learning from and collaborating with the world-class physical therapists at One on One to create the best plan of care for each client.
