“Forming a personal and meaningful relationship with my patients is imperative to understanding their goals, and helping them achieve them. I believe in a team approach to treatment, integrating the expertise of other healthcare providers, coaches, and support staff into my care so that my patients reach their greatest potential.”
Chloe Murdock joins the One on One team after working in orthopedic and sports settings in Boston, MA and Portland, OR, and integrates her unique training as an orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapist, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, certified running coach and clinical bike fitter into her treatment of triathletes, cyclists, and runners.
Chloe earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University in 2007 and graduated from Penn State University in 2004, Magna Cum Laude. There she was a member of both the Varsity XC and Track and Field teams and received NCAA Academic All-American Honors. Chloe went on to become a certified Level 1 Track and Field Coach and Road Runner Club of America Running Coach. Now, she incorporates those coaching principles as well as her background in biomechanics and exercise physiology into her treatment approach with patients.
Integrating her experience as a pelvic health physical therapist and board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, Chloe’s interventions include not only manual therapy and exercise prescription, but adjustments to training plans and sport-specific training. She is trained in manual therapy through NAIOMT and the Maitland-Australian Approach, and is certified in trigger point dry needling through Myopain Seminars. Chloe integrates Redcord suspension training and Pilates principles into the treatment of her patients, as well as strength training and power lift technique training.
As an adjunct to her work as a physical therapist, Chloe is a Fit Institute Slowtwitch (F.I.S.T) certified bike fitter and works at Podium Multisport in Atlanta fitting cyclists and triathletes of all levels. In the community, Chloe enjoys educating and collaborating with fellow healthcare practitioners and coaches about treatment considerations for triathletes and cyclists and the role of bike fitting and pelvic floor function in rehab and performance optimization. Chloe is an instructor for Bike Fit Pro, teaching beginner and advanced classes to aspiring bike fitters.
Chloe’s professional memberships include the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Track & Field and the Road Runners Club of America.
In her spare time you’ll find Chloe cycling, rock climbing, and playing outdoors.
